Basketball Recap: Isac Amell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Port Allegany over Otto-Eldred

If Port Allegany was riding high fresh off their 66-43 takedown of Austin last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Port Allegany Gators lost 68-46 to the Otto-Eldred Terrors on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Terrors this season, with their most recent loss being a 45-40 defeat last Thursday.

Port Allegany lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isac Amell, who posted ten points and six rebounds. Jacob Causer was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 12 points.

Port Allegany's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Otto-Eldred, their win was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-0.

Coming up, Port Allegany will head out to take on Clarion-Limestone at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. Port Allegany is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.3 points per game this season. As for Otto-Eldred, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-49 defeat against Cameron County on the 14th.
