Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Triumphs

Trinity Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Millington Central on Monday, but Millington Central never followed suit. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Nolan Baker looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Trinity Christian Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Harris Smith was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Greg Carter, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Trinity Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Millington Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Trinity Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Bolivar Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Millington Central, they will square off against First Assembly Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
