Basketball Recap: Dayten Marion Key Part of a Team Effort in Rockets Win

Jefferson-Morgan lost to Waynesburg Central back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Jefferson-Morgan Rockets came out on top against the Waynesburg Central Raiders by a score of 71-62.

Jefferson-Morgan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dayten Marion, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 22 rebounds. Those 22 boards gave Marion a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Robertson, who posted 21 points and seven rebounds.

Jefferson-Morgan is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Waynesburg Central, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13.

Coming up, Jefferson-Morgan will take on Springdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Waynesburg Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
