Football Recap: Amador Valley Dons vs. Las Lomas Knights
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Amador Valley had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Las Lomas Knights with a sharp 42-21 win. The Dons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.
A big part of Amador Valley's victory came down to the chemistry between Tristan Tia and his top target Anthony Harrington. Tia threw for 328 yards and four touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes while Harrington picked up 192 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Tia's passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 328 passing yards. A healthy portion of Tia's aerial production (85 yards to be exact) also went to Ben Stout.
Amador Valley now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Las Lomas, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Amador Valley's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Windsor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Amador Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 34 points per game this season. Las Lomas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
