Grove City Christian has gone a perfect 5-0 against Grandview Heights recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 1:00 p.m. Grove City Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Grove City Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Fairfield Christian Academy on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Knights a 16-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Ashley Williams and Abbie White were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Williams tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, White pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Williams posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. At bat, Williams went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and one stolen base, while White got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Grove City Christian got a massive performance out of Kelsey Kennedy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Kennedy has posted since back in May of 2024. Kinsey Hovance was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Grove City Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, while it was Grandview Heights who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Bishop Ready who put up more. The Bobcats came up short against the Silver Knights, falling 14-4.
Grandview Heights saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ejheni Mdivanian, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Grove City Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Grandview Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Grove City Christian skirted past Grandview Heights 13-11 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
