Baseball Recap: Palo Verde Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Palo Verde managed to slip by Basic the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Palo Verde Panthers lost 12-4 to the Basic Wolves on Friday. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Palo Verde got a good showing from Dylan Feeny, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Feeny has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Palo Verde saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Johns, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Palo Verde's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Basic, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
