Recap: Hand Tigers vs. Sheehan Titans
The Hand Tigers entered their tilt with the Sheehan Titans with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Hand came out on top against Sheehan by a score of 28-18 on Thursday. This was payback for Hand, who suffered a 17-13 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Aidan Dolan, who rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
Hand pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-8 Amity Regional and 3-6 Law (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 39.6% over those games). As for Sheehan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.
Hand will take on Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Guilford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Hand likes a good challenge. As for Sheehan, they will head out on the road to face off against Lyman Hall at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
