Douglas' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12 runs. As for Gadsden City, their win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas will welcome Sardis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gadsden City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jacksonville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
