Soccer Recap: Pomona Takes a Loss

After flying high against Workman last Thursday, Pomona came back down to earth. The Pomona Red Devils came up short against the Bassett Olympians on Tuesday, falling 11-2. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Olympians recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Pomona's loss dropped their record down to 3-13-1. As for Bassett, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pomona has already played their next match (against La Puente), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bassett will take on Edgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edgewood's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Bassett's offense will have their work cut out for them.
