While Broughton put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Sanderson. Broughton put the hurt on Sanderson with a sharp 17-0 win. The Capitals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

Ruby Kalkbrenner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kalkbrenner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

In other batting news, Broughton got a massive performance out of Avery Troxell, who fired off three home runs and seven RBI while going 3-for-3. Those three home runs gave Troxell a new career-high.
