Preview: Papillion-LaVista South Titans vs. Papillion-LaVista Monarchs
The Papillion-LaVista South Titans will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs at 7:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Papillion-LaVista South scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Burke 83-44 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-22.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Papillion-LaVista South to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wes Frost, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Frost pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Montae Brown, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, even though Benson scored an imposing 70 points on Tuesday, Papillion-LaVista still came out on top. Papillion-LaVista secured a 75-70 W over Benson.
Papillion-LaVista South's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Papillion-LaVista, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Everything came up roses for Papillion-LaVista South against Papillion-LaVista in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 65-36 victory.
