Volleyball Recap: North Johnston Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only North Johnston walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lexington Senior Yellowjackets on Saturday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

North Johnston took Lexington Senior into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-17, 25-17, 23-25, 15-7.

North Johnston's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Lexington Senior, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season.

North Johnston will venture away from home to square off against East Duplin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lexington Senior does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
