Dunedin is 9-1 against Countryside since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Dunedin will look to defend their home field against Countryside at 6:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Dunedin has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Countryside will arrive with three straight victories.

Dunedin lost 16-4 to IMG Academy Black on Tuesday.

Aiden Sherifi was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Fallon, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Countryside was able to grind out a solid win over IMG Academy Navy on Wednesday, taking the game 5-1.

Cody Hollenbeck made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Hollenbeck wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Braeden Callahan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Dunedin's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Countryside, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Dunedin skirted past Countryside 4-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Dunedin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Countryside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
