A-D-M took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Van Meter, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Bulldogs on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

A-D-M's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Van Meter, their defeat ended a 26-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2.

A-D-M will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
