Softball Recap: Dayton Takes a Loss

Dayton couldn't beat Colton on Tuesday even though they stacked nine runs on them in the first inning. The Bulldogs fell 16-11 to the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 21-11 loss on Tuesday.

Dayton's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Colton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dayton will square off against McLoughlin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Colton, they will venture away from home to face off against Genesee at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
