Softball Recap: Castle Park Takes a Loss

Castle Park had lost five straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-11 to make it six. They came up short against the Southwest SD Raiders, falling 27-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-5 back in April.

As for Southwest SD, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-10. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Southwest SD's part, Aketzalli Rodriguez was a standout: she got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Sophia Borquez was another key player, going 5-for-6 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

As of now, neither Castle Park nor Southwest SD have any future games scheduled.
