There's no place like home for Mt. Vernon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the West Delaware Hawks 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in July of 2024.

Mt. Vernon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Delaware, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.
