Softball Game Preview: Bremond Tigers vs. Bartlett Bulldogs

Bremond has gone a perfect 5-0 against Bartlett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bremond Tigers will be playing at home against the Bartlett Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Bartlett took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bremond, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bremond took on Granger on Tuesday. Bremond blew past Granger 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Charlye Martin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

On the hitting side, Ryann Baker was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those hits were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Young, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Meanwhile, Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch last Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Granger, falling 9-0.

Bremond has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Bremond skirted past Bartlett 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will Bremond repeat their success, or does Bartlett have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
