Basketball Game Preview: Zion Chapel Rebels vs. Brantley Bulldogs

Zion Chapel is 1-8 against Brantley since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Zion Chapel Rebels will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Brantley Bulldogs. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Brodie Stinson and Jayden Parks.

Zion Chapel is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Opp an easy 62-38 win.

Meanwhile, Brantley put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 70-57 victory over Alabama Christian Academy.

Zion Chapel better keep an eye on Parks. He was instrumental in Brantley's win, going 11 for 18 on his way to 30 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards. The contest was Parks' 18th in a row with at least ten points.

Brantley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points per game. As for Zion Chapel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Zion Chapel strolled past Brantley in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 60-46. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Brantley's Daylan Davis, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards.
