Basketball Recap: DeKalb Triumphs

While DeKalb didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They had just enough and edged out the Hanover Central Wildcats 50-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Barons.

Brady Vince continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6-for-9 en route to 16 points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Dalton Cox also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

DeKalb's record now sits at 5-1. As for Hanover Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coincidentally, DeKalb and Hanover Central will both be playing Indian Creek the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Braves at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Barons will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
