Volleyball Recap: Linton-Stockton's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but Linton-Stockton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evansville North Huskies. If the Miners were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Huskies when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-18, 14-25, 25-15, 25-18.

Ella Warrick paced Linton-Stockton's offense, picking up 29 kills. Warrick got some help from Audrey Sullivan and her 36 assists. Ella Norris controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Anna McCandless was nothing short of spectacular for Evansville North: she had 19 digs and seven assists. That's the most assists McCandless has posted over her last nine contests. Tessa Wilke also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Linton-Stockton's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Evansville North, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Linton-Stockton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Sullivan on the 30th. As for Evansville North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Castle on the 30th.
