Baseball Recap: Green Level Comes Up Short

Green Level managed to slip by Northern Durham the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Gators came up short against the Knights on Wednesday, falling 12-5. The Gators' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Henry Geiser was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Ben Bernard, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Green Level's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Northern Durham, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Green Level wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Chatham Central on the 3rd. As for Northern Durham, they will head out to face off against Williams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
