Soccer Game Preview: West Shore vs. Edgewood

The West Shore Wildcats and the Edgewood Red Wolves will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

West Shore is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Rockledge onto the board and left with a 6-0 win on Friday. The score was close at the half, but the Wildcats pulled away in the second half with five goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Edgewood made sure to put some goals up on the board against Bayside on Friday. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 4-1 victory. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Red Wolves were the better team in the second half.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-2-5. As for Edgewood, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

West Shore came up short against Edgewood in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 2-0. Can West Shore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
