Basketball Recap: Leetonia Takes a Loss

Leetonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the David Anderson Blue Devils and fell 51-16. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-5.

Lylah Brown had a dynamite game for David Anderson, almost dropping a triple-double on 22 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game. Jayden Smyth was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 16 steals.

Leetonia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for David Anderson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record this season.

Leetonia has already played their next contest, a 45-6 loss against Valley Christian on the 3rd. As for David Anderson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-43 defeat against Brookfield on the 1st.
