Baseball Recap: Jesup Takes a Loss

Jesup was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Spencer Tigers. The game marked the first time this season in which the J-Hawks were not able to get on the board.

Jesup's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Spencer, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jesup will welcome Union at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the J-Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Spencer, they will challenge Sioux City North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Stars will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
