Recap: Blacklick Valley Vikings vs. Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams
The Blacklick Valley Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Turkeyfoot Valley Area out 75-73. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Blacklick Valley can attribute much of their success to Greg Schilling, who scored 24 points. That's the first time this season that Schilling scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Alex Reba, who scored 18 points.
When it comes to explaining why Turkeyfoot Valley Area lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryce Nicholson. Despite the final result, he scored 36 points along with nine steals. The contest was Nicholson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Younkin, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Blacklick Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
