Thomaston got themselves on the board against Shepaug Valley on Tuesday, but Shepaug Valley never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 8-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Madison Decker made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Addison Patchell was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Gabby Theriault, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs.
Thomaston's record is now 14-7-1. As for Shepaug Valley, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-9-1.
As of now, neither Thomaston nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
