Football Recap: JP Reyes Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat San Angelo Central

Midland Legacy's game back in September was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the San Angelo Central Bobcats with points to spare, taking the game 58-42. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Midland Legacy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was JP Reyes out in front who threw for 478 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt. 146 of those passing yards were hauled in by Caden Ellis, who also brought in three receiving touchdowns.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Midland Legacy, adding 22 points to the final score. Steven Verastegui delivered a perfect 3-3 game. One of the most memorable scores? An impressive kickoff return for a touchdown from Nic Moore.

Micah Smith and Colton Hill certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Smith threw for 414 yards and four TDs, while Hill picked up 207 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Hill's longest reception was for an incredible 82 yards. Jimmy Edwards also helped out as he racked up 100 receiving yards.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for San Angelo Central, they moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
