Soccer Game Preview: Manistee vs. Whitehall

The Manistee Mariners will head out on the road to square off against the Whitehall Vikings at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Manistee beat Shelby 3-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whitehall). They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Ravenna last Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Manistee now has a winning record of 9-8-1. As for Whitehall, their record now sits at 8-6-1.

Manistee couldn't quite get it done against Whitehall in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Mariners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
