Spencer-Van Etten gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Lansing Bobcats. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 12-0 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Deveon Aman was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run over seven innings pitched. Aman was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Aman wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kellen Williamson, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencer-Van Etten will welcome Watkins Glen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lansing, they will square off against Marcellus at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
