New Life Academy is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They walked away with a 40-31 victory over Mounds Park Academy on Saturday. The 40-point effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, St. Croix Lutheran waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed by the Lions to the tune of 82-43. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

St. Croix Lutheran's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.3 points per game. As for New Life Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

New Life Academy might still be hurting after the 65-43 loss they got from St. Croix Lutheran when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can New Life Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
