Palma got themselves on the board against Monterey on Tuesday, but Monterey never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Dores with a sharp 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Chieftains, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Alan Gonzalez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other pitching news, Zach Gonzales looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Rocco Razzeca was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Johnny Carnazzo, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Palma's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.3 runs. As for Monterey, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Palma will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dores: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
