Football Game Preview: Mepham Pirates vs. Baldwin Bruins

The Mepham Pirates will challenge the Baldwin Bruins at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mepham will be strutting in after a victory while Baldwin will be coming in after a loss.

Mepham took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past New Hyde Park Memorial 31-0. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Baldwin entered their matchup against East Meadow last Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bruins lost to the Jets at home by a 35-16 margin.

Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mepham, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Mepham took their victory against Baldwin when the teams last played back in October of 2021 by a conclusive 32-12 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Bruins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
