Godley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Burke out in front who threw for 233 yards and a touchdown while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another rusher making a difference was Adam Pempsell, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
He was just one part of a punishing run game: Godley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Mineral Wells' record now sits at 4-0. As for Godley, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
