Soccer Recap: Long Trail Takes a Loss

If Long Trail was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mill River on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Long Trail came up short against the West Rutland Golden Horde on Wednesday, falling 8-2. Long Trail has struggled against West Rutland recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Nevada Bloechle wasn't going to let West Rutland walk away unscathed as she scored both of Long Trail's goals, bringing her season total up to six goals.

Long Trail's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for West Rutland, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Long Trail didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Twin Valley on the 15th. As for West Rutland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 6-0 win against Poultney on the 12th.
