Baseball Recap: Charlestown Pirates vs. North Harrison Cougars
Charlestown suffered their closest loss since May 11, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the North Harrison Cougars by a score of 4-2. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Garret Titzer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
