Flag Football Game Preview: Sequoia Ravens vs. Capuchino Mustangs

The Sequoia Ravens are taking a road trip to face off against the Capuchino Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sequoia is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Sequoia was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 33-27 to San Mateo. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 500th, while the Bearcats are ranked 216th).

Sequoia's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jamie Elkington, who picked up 134 receiving yards and three TDs, and Hannah Orton, who threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Capuchino came up short against South San Francisco on Wednesday and fell 25-18.

Sequoia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Capuchino, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Sequoia might still be hurting after the 39-13 loss they got from Capuchino in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Ravens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
