Volleyball Recap: Brooke Starts Season with Victory Against Harrison Central

Brooke took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Harrison Central Huskies as they made off with a 3-0 win. For the Bruins, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2020.

Brooke never let Harrison Central on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-20, 25-22.

Leading Brooke to victory were Jazmyn Wood and Eden McKinney. Wood had eight digs and two aces, while McKinney had 13 assists.

They weren't the only good server: Brooke was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Harrison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Brooke will face off against Washington at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Harrison Central, they will challenge East Liverpool at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
