Triton Central waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Shelbyville Golden Bears by a score of 3-1. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Bears, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 12-25, 25-23, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why Shelbyville lost, don't look at Sydney Haehl. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs and two aces. Haehl has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played. Hayden Ricketts was another key player, getting 12 digs and two aces.

Triton Central's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Shelbyville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triton Central will welcome Mt. Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shelbyville, they will square off against Lawrence Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
