Basketball Recap: Tiftarea Academy Takes a Loss

Tiftarea Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-35 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-46 back in January.

Tiftarea Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Tiftarea Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Deerfield-Windsor at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, they will challenge Southwest Georgia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
