Baseball Recap: Fossil Ridge Comes Up Short

Fossil Ridge had lost ten straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 8-20-2 to make it 11. They fell 6-2 to the Saginaw Rough Riders. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rough Riders earlier this season, when they won 9-5.

As for Saginaw, their victory ended an 11-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-25-1. That four run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Saginaw's part, Grayson Chancellor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. Chancellor was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Chancellor wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Little, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

As of now, neither Fossil Ridge nor Saginaw have any future games scheduled.
