Marcellus kept a clean sheet against Cortland on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Purple Tigers. Give Marcellus' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Marcellus' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Cortland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Marcellus and Cortland will both be playing Mexico the next time they take the pitch. The Mustangs will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Purple Tigers will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
