Softball Recap: McNair Eagles vs. Edison Vikings
McNair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Edison Vikings, falling 20-13. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly seven runs.
Naohmi Tapia and Emerald Gerardo stepped up to the plate in a big way. Tapia scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Gerardo scored two runs while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.
McNair's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Edison, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.
Looking ahead, McNair will challenge Bear Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Edison, they will face off against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
