Basketball Recap: Irving Comes Up Short

Irving won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Berkner Rams 75-43. The Tigers have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Irving's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Berkner, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Irving Tigers challenge the MacArthur Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Berkner, they will challenge Dallas Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berkner knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 24 games -- so hopefully Dallas Jesuit likes a good challenge.
