Northeastern extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost 12-2 to the Holmes Aces. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Holmes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The result was nothing new for the Aces, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Holmes' part, Harper Evans was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Evans has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs.

Northeastern will venture away from home to challenge Currituck County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holmes, they will welcome Camden County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aces' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
