Softball Recap: Braxton County Comes Up Short

Braxton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 8-2 to the South Harrison Hawks. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 13-7 to the Hawks when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Braxton County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Conrad, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Braxton County's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for South Harrison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.

Coming up, Braxton County will welcome Ritchie County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Harrison has already played their next contest (against Williamstown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
