            Baseball Recap: North Eugene Highlanders vs. Springfield Millers        
        
		
        
        
            North Eugene had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Springfield Millers as they made off with  a  12-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  13-1  on Tuesday.

 Michael Buschelman made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because North Eugene is 3-1 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 8-10 otherwise. Buschelman was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jayce Phillipe, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs and three  RBI. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Duncan Roudabush, who  went 1-for-3 with three  runs and one  stolen base.
 North Eugene was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .469. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
The  victory  got North Eugene back to even at 11-11. As for Springfield, their defeat was  their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 2-20.
North Eugene will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Millers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
