Volleyball Game Preview: Antwerp Archers vs. Ayersville Pilots

The Antwerp Archers will venture away from home to take on the Ayersville Pilots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Antwerp will be strutting in after a win while Ayersville will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Antwerp turned things around against Van Wert on Monday. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Archers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 15th (when they won 3-0).

Antwerp walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18, 25-17.

Ayersville had taken Patrick Henry down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Pilots came up short against the Patriots, falling 3-0. The Pilots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-19.

Ayersville's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Antwerp, their victory bumped their record up to 4-16.

Antwerp suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Ayersville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Archers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
