Basketball Recap: New Richmond Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Richmond can now relate to. They fell just short of the Wausau East Lumberjacks by a score of 70-68 on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (62), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

With the defeat, New Richmond broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for Wausau East, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-7.

As of now, neither New Richmond nor Wausau East have any future games scheduled.
