Basketball Recap: Oswego East Takes a Loss

Oswego East lost against Benet Academy back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Oswego East Wolves fell 49-40 to the Benet Academy Redwings. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Redwings are ranked fifth).

Oswego East's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Benet Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.

Oswego East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Benet Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-45 victory against Waubonsie Valley on the 5th.
